LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
This school is currently only available in English.
Participants for whom English is not their mother tongue must have sufficient english language proficiency
to understand classes and complete written and oral assignments.

HANDS ON
SDF students will be spending a total of 3 weeks on set which offers them first hand insight into the dynamics of filmmaking. Beyond life on set, they will be exposed to the 5 critical stages involved in making a film and will get to do it all as each students write, produce, direct and edit their own short film. Students come out of this school ready to make films on their own.

INDUSTRY READY
The intense context of the school helps students prepare for the realities of the industry. Lecture topics include work ethic, set etiquette, team work, integrity and the role of Christians within the industry. Our teachers are involved in the industry, whether mainstream or independent, which gives our students insight into the challenges and opportunities ahead of them.

STORY
Beyond anything, this school is about story. Stories transcend and reach deep into the heart, nursing our brokenness back to health while nurturing our strength and determination to be fully alive. Our goal is for our students to come out of this school passionate about story and with an unwavering drive to tell stories that will move hearts and change the world!

FILMMAKING INTERNSHIP
Students from the School of Digital Filmmaking can apply to take part in the 12-week filmmaking internship following the school.
Internship participation is determined a few weeks into the SDF program.
An opportunity to keep on honing your skills!
Interns will continue projects of independent short film writing and directing, while assigned to various projects of the film department and carrying out personal assignments to grow their abilities as visual storytellers.
