SOCIAL JUSTICE

You will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss many different social justice issues that are happening around the world today (like human trafficking, genocides & poverty). Through this track you will have the opportunity to grow closer to God’s heart of compassion as well as discover new tools to make a difference in this world.

WORSHIP

You will have the opportunity to learn about the what, the why, the how – the heart of worship. You will also learn how to work together and collaborate as a team. You’ll be challenged to think out of the box and try new things in worship, going beyond its musical aspects. Our desire is to awaken an authentic understanding of what worship is and to equip you to lead others into a place of worship.

SPORTS

You’ll be exposed to and will be able to participate in a variety of sports, including team and solo disciplines. We use sports for physical exercise and for team building, but also to learn more about ourselves, God and the world we live in. The school also includes a 5-day outdoor leadership training program where you’ll have plenty of opportunities to surpass yourself!

OUTREACH

Three months of adventures serving the needy, loving others and sharing Christ, while keeping your track focus.

COLLABORATE

The goal is for our short-term efforts to serve the local long-term vision of the places we’re going to. So we work in partnership with the local Body of Christ – be it churches, YWAM communities or other missionary organizations – to ensure and maintain healthy partnerships as we reach out together to share Jesus with the nations.

SHARE

The heart of outreach is to help people meet and connect with their good and loving Creator. During these 3 months, you will have plenty of opportunities to share the love of Jesus with people from other religious, cultural and historical backgrounds.

COMPASSION

As you step out of your comfort zone to go on outreach, you will have plenty of opportunities to care for others and offer them practical, emotional and spiritual support. One of the greatest outlets we have in mission is to be Jesus’ hands and feet and the DTS offers you a unique context to do it!

Hi! My name is James and I come from Alberta, Canada. I did my DTS in New Zealand in January 2014, and I have been working with YWAM ever since. I joined YWAM Dunham in 2015 and that’s when the vision for the sports track of Fall DTS came about! I love Jesus and sports, and I’m passionate about seeing other athletes released into knowing who they are and their calling as they draw closer to God! Being a Canadian, you’ll guess that my favourite sport is hockey, but I just love anything that allows me to move and rub shoulder with others. I’m stoked for this Sports DTS and it would be a pleasure to meet you!

Hi! My name is Devon and I come from Ontario, Canada. I did my DTS at YWAM Dunham in 2012 and have been working here ever since. I took on the leadership of the Compassion DTS in 2016 and I’m just so excited to see hearts and minds transformed in the context of this school – seeing people released in their true identity and calling! Besides leading this school, I love hanging out with people, playing games and discovering new cultures, especially their art and their food. I always love joining our teams on outreach – it’s a blast! Anyways, that’s a little bit about me. It would be fun to meet you!
